Privacy Policy

TokSpark ("we", "us", "our") operates the TokSpark web application (the "Service"), a research tool that helps you discover TikTok content trends — creator hit breakdowns, trending topic ideas, and competitor analysis.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service uses, where it lives, and how it is handled. We designed the Service to keep your data as local and as minimal as possible. We do not require an account. We do not operate a user database. We do not store your search history on our servers.

1. What We Use

1.1 Your Inputs

When you use the Service you provide:

• A creator link, a keyword, or competitor links (for the feature you selected).
• Optional notes or example text you paste into the input box.

1.2 Local History (localStorage)

• The Service keeps your most recent 10 queries in your browser's localStorage.
• This history is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, and it is not visible to us.
• You can clear it at any time from your browser settings, or by clearing site data. Clearing it does not affect other Service features.

1.3 Automatic Technical Data

• We may collect standard, anonymized technical data (browser type, page visits, error reports) to keep the Service stable and to prevent abuse.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We do not sell data.

2. How Your Inputs Are Processed

• To produce results, the Service calls the TikHub API (api.tikhub.io), a third-party provider, to fetch public TikTok data (public video metadata, public statistics) for the creator or keyword you entered.
• The fetched public data, together with your input, may then be processed by an AI language model ("LLM") to generate the analysis you see (breakdowns, topic ideas, script outlines, differentiation suggestions).
• Data is used only for the query you run. We do not store your inputs or the results on our servers beyond normal, short-lived operational logs. We do not use your inputs or results to train AI models.

2.1 About TikHub API and Costs

• TikHub API is a paid, per-request third-party service. API costs for your queries are your responsibility where you run queries using your own API key, or are included in the product's pricing where queries are run for you.
• Before any paid batch query, the Service shows a cost preview so you can decide before running.
• Your TikHub API key, if you use one, is read from your environment and is never stored in the Service or sent to us.

2.2 Third-Party Privacy

TikHub and the LLM provider process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We choose providers that do not use your data to train their models by default. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for them.

3. Data Retention

• Query history: stored locally in your browser only (last 10 queries), under your control.
• Results: generated analysis is shown to you in the browser. Export (if available) is a local download. We do not retain your results on our servers.
• Logs: short-lived operational logs may exist for security and stability, and are not used to identify you.

4. Your Rights

Even though we do not store your personal data on our servers, we respect your privacy rights:

• Access and deletion: your local history can be viewed and deleted by you at any time in your browser.
• Questions: email privacy@tokspark.dev and we will respond within 30 days.

Because the Service has no account system and no server-side user database, most data rights are exercised directly in your browser.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Service at least 7 days before taking effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
